God Is Our Great Provider
Sometimes it seems impossible or unreal that there is a God who can and will take care of us. We are a seeing is believing kind of world. We are told that WE have to make “it” happen. That WE create our own destiny. That WE made ourselves successful. While it’s true there are things we must do, we must not be so proud as to think WE have done it all ourselves. Lets remind ourselves who our God is, what HE does and that HE is the one who provides for us.
“And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. Deuteronomy 8:18
A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Psalm 32:8
You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail. Proverbs 19:21
Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 9:23-24
16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. James 1:16-17
