The Lord corrects those He loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.
3 At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. “For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.”
Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away.
Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.
When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled.
