Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

When we lack self-control, we allow impatience and the lack of respect for ourselves and sometimes others, to give way to our fleshly desires. Soon we push the boundary lines God has set for us and we wind up in disobedience and sin…
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
